My mood while writing this blog: ok

So i will talk about the not so good stuff 1st. nothing to do with pregnancy so thats good! we are landlords not because when i met my now husband i owned the house across the street and since the economy was so bad we decided it would probably not sell or sit empty for a long time. so my friend from work said she would love to rent it! which was great she stayed in it for 1.5 yrs and then got engaged and had to move out so i put up a for rent sign and got a million people interested! we only had to pay one months mortgage b/f we got really good renters a daughter and her elderly mother! but her mother got sick had surgery and she could no longer take care of her in the home so she had to put her in a nursing home. she then did not have enough money for the mortgage! she did not want to move out but we need the full mortgage so she decided to get a room mate which she found on craigs list! she did a back ground check on him and contacted his employer and he seemed like a normal decent guy so they signed a 3 month lease together. well they paid 2 months rent on time no problem but for this month of dec they have not paid! the lady will have her portion by monday the guy will not call us or contact us. he has not come home since we insisted on the rent money. so now we are in a bind! the lady is going to call him and ask him if he still wants to stay there and if not we are willing to let him out of the lease free and clear! so far we have not heard back from him! the lady loves us and loves the house and wants to stay but cannot afford the whole mortgage so we told her this month only we will take 1/2 of the rent which will kill us but i would rather have someone in there than no one at all. but we told her she must find another room mate b/c we need the whole mortgage! luckily i got all the santa presents so im fine there and i will have to charge the mortgage this month which i hate doing b/c i try to keep a 0 balance on all my charge cards. i guess it could be worse but i just felt like getting it off my chest! i can at least save up all my pet sitting money and pay off the credit card!
ok now for the cute story! so i kept hearing nibbling in our computer room and i new it was not our rats and mice! i saw a tiny little brown blur out of the corner of my eye! i told my husband we had a mouse and he set a snap trap which i don;t like but they are much more humane than glue or poison! the next day the cheese was off the trap but no dead mouse yeahhhhh! my dh said i guess i will have to get a glue trap! i said well i will just get him/her off the glue w/ veggie oil and q tips! he said that was fine! we do have a live trap but have yet to catch a mouse even though we have baited it ect! so i thought well i will just try! i put kix and peanut butter bread in it! an hour later i heard all this chewing noise and i thought wow i know are rats are really loud but not usually that loud! my dh went into the computer room and said congratulations dear you finally caught a live mouse!!!! she was so so cute she was only about 8 wks old and cuter than our mice!!!! my dh took her all the way to the park and let her go in the forest area w/ the peanut butter and cereal!!! i hope she finds a warm place to live and does not get eaten!!! well sorry this is sooo long and probably boring but i just had to vent!!!

awww, good for you with the mouse! what a sweet story. I once caught a mouse as it ran across my best friends fire place in high school... just instinctively reached down and caught it with my hands and took it outside... they all acted like it was a big deal, but it was just a mouse...geez :) I'm glad she got "caught" by the right person.

i hope your renter finds a room mate soon. the last thing you need is to have to make extra house payments right now....
