15-1-2009 - So irritating!

I am so mad! We bought this house in August and I love the house, but we have had some major complications this winter which we obviously wouldn't have known about in the summer! The back part of the bathroom downstairs and our back porch was added on sometime. You can just tell it was and some idiot didn't insulate it all that well so its always really cold in the back part of the bathroom where the bathtub is. So anyway last time it dipped below 0 degrees the trap for the tub froze because its not in the main part of the basement so the bathtub would not drain for 3 days. That was so annoying and my hubby got insulation to put on the pipe hoping it wouldn't happen again. So now today the temperature is -12 here in Illinois (-32 if you factor in the wind chill) and I go to turn on the shower and now it won't even turn on because the pipes are frozen! Omg this pisses me off so bad! I'm so hoping it thaws out sometime soon, but probably wont likely until Sunday maybe if the temps go back up! My husband is going to be so mad when he gets home because he is a tractor mechanic so he comes home filthy everyday and needs his shower!
