| 20-2-2009 - The latest... | My mood while writing this blog:Sleepy |
Ugh well I haven't written one of these in awhile, so I thought I probably should. First of all, I would like to say that my MIL pisses me off more than anyone I have ever met. I do not understand how my wonderful husband came from that household! For months now she has been saying that she wanted to buy something for the baby and was upset when she heard we had already bought the crib and changing table and stuff because she wanted to buy a big item for him. So we told her she could buy the travel system if she wanted to. We have had the one we wanted picked out for months now and expected her to buy it for us for Christmas or something since it was a sizable purchase and we didn't need anything else for Christmas, but no she chose not to. So anyway after saying she was going to come down in January to get it and didn't, she finally came down like a week ago. (So we have had this thing on our registry for forever and told her she could go and look at it or whatever and told her the price at least once or twice, but since she waited so frickin long it went up 10 dollars in price) Anyway, we get to the store and I make a B line to the bathroom, because I just foresaw there being problems knowing how she is. So I dilly dally around in the bathroom waiting for awhile and finally walk over and find her arguing with DH about the stupid thing. She is telling him she doesn't see why she needs to pay so much for it and all this crap and how if she gets that then that is all we are ever getting from her! Um hello you were the one that wanted to buy it! We have the money for it, but she insisted on wanting to buy it and I hated to tell her the crib and changing table were more expensive! So I just stood there silent and DH was like "thats fine" and picked it up and put it in the cart. So then she went off somewhere else with my SIL while we got some other things we needed and DH was obviously kinda upset about how she was reacting and was being kind of short with me. So after being pissed off at his mom and him acting like that, I had a breakdown in the store. I was crying my eyes out and he felt really bad and was trying to comfort me and I was begging him to just buy the darn travel system. Well then the b&#*h walked back up and I was looking at the shelves to try to hide the fact that I was crying. Gosh that woman pisses me off beyond belief! Anyway we came back to our house and DH was showing her the nursery and she remarked at how many clothes the baby had already for us not having a shower or anything and he told her my mom bought a majority of them and she was like "wow she bought alot". I'm thinking yeah and you are making a huge deal over the travel system! Ugh! And this woman wants to come and stay for a few days after my parents leave once the baby is born. There is no way! She would turn up missing since DH is only taking a week off so that means I would have to entertain her! No frickin way! She lives like 2 hours away from us and my SIL goes to college down here so she comes this way all the time to bring her to college, so she can stop in and see him whenever. My parents live in Florida so they can stay as long as they would like, but she does not need to come stay! So I just had to vent about how much that woman pisses me off, but we have the travel system now at least.
On a good note...with part of our tax refund we got a new bed! First of all, I must tell you about how old our other bed was. I don't even know how old but DH has had it for quite awhile and it was used when he got it and it was a Full size bed, so basically the thing was horrible! It creaked like crazy and everytime DH would turn over or something it would about throw me out of bed, so needless to say being pregnant and sleeping on that darn thing was not a good combo! So our first big purchase as a married couple besides our house was a new bed and I am seriously in love with this bed! First of all we got a queen which is great in itself, but the mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. Its the perfect mix of firm and soft and it has the motion separation technology so we don't feel each other move as much. I could seriously write a book about how much I love this bed and how great of sleep I have been getting since we got it a week ago. I just keep thinking if I am sleeping this great on it while I'm pregnant, I cannot wait to sleep on it when I'm not pregnant!
Update on the baby...Well at my 35 week appt she said I was still measuring a little big. I guess not as extreme as before, so she didn't seem as concerned, but wants to do another ultrasound at 37 weeks to check his size again. At this point, I do not care how he enters this world...I just really want him to be here! lol I was supposed to start going weekly after that, but she said unless I wanted to, I could just come back at 37 weeks since I haven't had any complications whatsoever, so i chose just to do that, so I go back on March 3rd. I can't even believe its getting so close!
Well thats about all I have to say for now...I need to go and order my new bare floor vacuum and steam cleaner which I am also excited about getting. I am starting to feel old getting so excited over things such as beds and vacuums! You ladies take care and thanks for listening! Hugs and belly pats!
