07-5-2009 - 2 Months Already!

Just a quick update before Greyson wakes up! He turned 2 months old on Monday and I cannot believe it! Where have the past 2 months gone? 2 months during pregnancy seemed like an eternity! Anyway, I took him to the doctor yesterday for his check-up. He is perfectly healthy and she said he looks great. He is a whopping 12 lbs 6 oz now and 23 inches long. I keep thinking he should be out of his 0-3 month clothes by now but they still fit him fine except for his pants which fall off of him! His waist is so tiny! His doctor asked me how he liked tummy time and I said he basically doesn't like it and she put him on his tummy and he held his head straight up in the air looking straight ahead and was even holding up part of his body without fussing or anything. I'm thinking why doesn't he do this at home? But I guess he was showing off and she was impressed by him. He is close to rolling over from his back to his tummy. He gets himself over on his side and just has to figure out how to get the rest of the way. He still rolls from his tummy to his back occasionally. When he was laying there yesterday he was moving his arms and legs all over the place and she asked if he moved that much all the time and I told her yes he does! Everyone that holds him remarks that he is a wiggleworm! He was like that when I was pregnant too and they would try and get his heartbeat at the doctor. I can't wait until he starts crawling and walking...I'm going to be chasing the kid all over the place! He already acts like he just wants to get up and walk around and he loves sitting up. We will prop him sitting up between us on the couch and he will sit there forever!

He is down to waking up once at night to eat. We put him to bed around 10 and he will wake up around 3 and eat and we put him back to bed and he puts himself back to sleep without crying until about 7 or so. Its amazing how much more rested we are now that he only wakes up once and we don't have to sit there with him forever until he falls asleep again. I'm still looking forward to him sleeping through the night though! We take him in for his shots next week. I made my husband take off work a little early to go with because I know I'm going to be a wreck if he doesn't handle them well.

I went to the doctor today for another blood pressure check. Its running 138/84 now so its getting lower and lower. i think the medication I'm on is working well. Hopefully I can eventually get off of it though! I've lost 5 more pounds and I am feeling better than ever! I'm a little peeved though because I had a period at 6 weeks pp and here I am at 9 weeks pp and I started again! I'm hoping they go back into my regular 28 days or so cycle I had before I became pregnant. I don't know if its normal for them to be irregular for awhile or what...I guess I should have asked while I was there today but Greyson was being fussy so I totally didn't think of it! While at the doctor today, I heard the dopplar from the next room and a babys heartbeat...I must say I miss being pregnant so much!
