05-6-2009 - I have a 3 month old! Wow!

Well as of 8:15 pm last night, our little man is 3 months old! Wow...has it really been 3 months? I cannot believe it! He is growing bigger and bigger by the day, but we haven't gotten a weight yet for this month, however he is now around 24 inches long. He has finally graduated to his 3-6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. It was hard for me to commit to packing away his 0-3 month stuff that I had grown to love so much, but it is fun discovering these new outfits to put on him. It is so neat because just this week he has changed so much with his personality. He is smiling at us and his toys constantly, has become less fussy during the day (Hallelujah!) and babbles and coos all the time. I sat him in front of the tv to watch Sesame Street today so I eat some lunch and he was just babbling like crazy. He also gets very excited when he plays with his toys and was even squealing the other day. We got him a jumperoo that he loves. His little feet don't reach the floor yet so we put a pillow underneath and he sits there and bats at the toys and we taught him that if he hits the seat then the animal noises come out so he does that. Its so funny to watch him.

He is on a great sleeping schedule (since right before he turned 10 weeks) of going to bed around 9 or 9:30 and sleeping until 6:30. Yesterday he even slept in until 7:30 which was a shock to me. He has begun spinning himself in his crib too. He will start out with his head under the mobile and will wake up completely turn around or turned 90 degrees to where he is kicking the side of the crib. Since he found his hands a couple weeks back, he sucks on them all the time and now has started the baby drooling stage. He has come to accept the fact that he does need to be in his carseat sometimes and he doesn't sleep all the time in it like he used to. It has gotten to the point where he is just too heavy for me to carry him around in his carseat to places, so I have just been carrying him in and he seems to love it. He can hold his head up very well, so that allows us to do more with him.

He is also eating us out of house and home. He eats 5-6 (sometimes 7) ounces every 2-3 hours but usually its more like every 2 hours. He is a hungry little man! He also sits and stares at us when we eat our food and is fascinated by it. It cracks me up. He is a major mama's boy too. I'll leave him in a room with DH for a little bit and he will start looking all over the place wondering where I went and will sometimes start fussing until I come back. I think this could be a problem when he gets older, but I love it as of now lol.

DH and I are doing pretty great too. Nothing to report really except that our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up in about a week on the 14th. it's hard to believe it's almost here already and that we will be celebrating it having a 3 month old! He was the best honeymoon present ever!
