17-12-2009 - 9 Months!

My mood while writing this blog: festive

Greyson turned 9 months old Dec 4th and we had his appt yesterday. He is up to 29 3/8 inches (90th percentile) and 20 lbs 10 oz (50th percentile). He is tall and skinny like his daddy was before he discovered beer and junk food in college ;0) Literally a couple hours after I wrote my last blog about how he had yet to crawl, he started crawling! It was crazy because I was wrapping a wedding present and he was sitting across the room and he spotted that wrapping paper and all of a sudden he is making his way across the room! I was dumbfounded lol. And he has not slowed down since! He is getting really gutsy pulling up on everything in sight and letting go when he is holding on to stuff. He is walking behind his walk behind walker thing and everyone assures us that he will be walking very soon. We absolutely love this age! He is so much happier now that he can get around by himself and he is an absolute blast! He has a new fascination with music and will crawl over to where the music is coming from and starts swaying back and forth and dancing to the music. Then he gets down on his hands and knees and starts rocking back and forth to the music. Its so cute! He now has a grand total of 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom) and I can feel more beneath the surface on the bottom so those will probably show up soon!

We are really looking forward to his first Christmas! Christmas is so much more exciting now that we have him in our lives! We went a little overboard with presents this year, but its his first Christmas and he is our one and only child so we figure it'll be okay this time. We will be head off to Florida in a couple days to spend Christmas with my parents, so we have a lovely 18 hour drive down there. We are hoping Greyson will tolerate this trip okay!
