10-2-2010 - Double the Blessings!

My mood while writing this blog: Shocked

Well, I'm sure you can tell from the title...WE ARE HAVING TWINS!!! I just got home from my ultrasound and I think I'm still in a state of shock! My husband will be home in a half hour or so and he is not going to believe this! He couldn't get off work today so I had to cart Greyson in there while I got my ultrasound done. He sat in his stroller and ate some snacks while I was getting it done. The ultarsound lady was a little strange and did not say anything as she is looking around in there. At first I saw one baby and saw the heart beating and was so relieved and then a little bit later I'm seeing two things that look like babies on the screen and in my head I'm thinking there's no way. So she still hasn't said anything to me and then soon she is labeling A & B and I was like "are there two babies there?" and she said "yes there is". I was in shock! Then the doctor came in and explained that they look good and they are right on track with my dates and stuff. But now since I'm having twins and the blood pressure issue (which by the way the meds are working great and it was WAY down today) she is refering me to see a high risk doctor along with seeing them still. I'm so relieved that everything is well and of course the fact that we are having two at the same time will probably not sink in for quite awhile!

The really strange part is after I had Greyson, on a few occasions I had dreams that I had twin girls. I totally attributed it to the hormones and my husband thought it was hilarious even as I reminded him of it a couple days ago and we both thought ha yeah right. Well we have the twin part now, but we'll see about the genders! Well I gotta get ready to break the news...thank you ladies for the comments on my last blog and your support! I really appreciate it!
