12-2-2010 - Hubby\'s Reaction and a U/S pic

Still in shock

Thank you everyone for the comments! I thought I would update with my husband's reaction when he found out. When he got home, I was in the kitchen making supper and he asked me how everything went. I said fine and pointed to the ultrasound pictures on the counter. He picked them up and said "I can't tell whats what in these", so I went over and pointed to one baby and I said "well here's a baby" and he asked what the other thing was and I was like "oh that's the other baby". He seriously did not believe me for like 10 minutes! So I went and got Greyson's 8 week ultrasound picture and said "this is what one baby looks like and that's two babies". He then kinda digested it and had a grin on his face for like an hour and then after supper got online and started looking at baby furniture lol. It was great and we are both still in shock and when we tell our families I can't even imagine what their reactions are going to be.

Below is an ultrasound pic of the babies. Twin A is at the bottom and Twin B is at the top.

Wow! Congratulations! I have twin brothers so during my ultrasound I was 1/2 expecting to see 2 in there but I only had one. How you told your husband is hilarious! Definitely take in all the nutrients you can for sure now. We want at least 2 children so I still have the chance of duplicates during my next pregnancy. They do look cute in there together. :)

Oh how sweet!! Ha,ha, what fun telling hubby :-) I can't wait to tell my inlaws that not only are we pregnant again but with twins....it will be great to see the shock! We are hoping that we can wait till 20 weeks. Slow down a whole bunch and eat as much as you can...lots of smal meals/snacks...every two hours if you can. I have been reading a LOT about multiple pregnancy and many OBs tell you nothing. Multiples gain most of their weight in the first half of the pregnancy and then slow down radically. And they have as much as a month less time in there to gain weight. The best way you can keep them in there longer and improve their birth weight is by EATING! ...and lots of protein and carbs. Yeah I know we still have the preggers weight from our last LO but this is not time to think about that. Yay for the twins!!! :-)
