Yay! DH & I managed to get to the gym today! I need to look up safe ab exercises for the 2nd trimester - my understanding is that you can do almost everything which doesn't leave you flat on your back.
I've been avoiding the scale for 2 weeks, as I have been one hungry girl, and was afraid to get back on. I'm sure I almost doubled my calorie intake! This weekend, I think I need to put away an entire size of pants (they're fine if I'm standing, not so good for sitting down!). Strange though, the scale doesn't seem to have moved much, maybe 2 lbs. (That's disregarding the 4 lbs I gained at Christmas & never lost!)
I'm excited b/c this week I get to find some maternity shops & go shopping. I think I'm probably still jumping the gun, but oh well. My town has no shopping options, so I might as well take advantage of being in a major center. When I get back from my trip on Wednesday, I only teach 1 day ( Valentine's Day parties), then there's a 4-day weekend. Hopefully the following week, when I get my 3rd appointment, I'll FINALLY get to hear the heartbeart. My u/s is scheduled for 18weeks. I wonder if that's too early to find out the sex?
Still feeling virtuous - time to go do yoga (I love having energy back!)
