13-2-2010 - 37 week check up

My mood while writing this blog: happy!

So I had my 37 week check up yesterday. Everything went really well!!!! I was so nervous but it ended up going great. I went in and have gained one pound for a total of 15 pounds throughout the pregnancy. My bp was a little elevated. It was 153/60. The nurse said that it was just the top number that was high, but not exteremly. Normally my bp is about 110/60. So they had me lay on my left side for a bit and after a few minutes it was going down and was at 132. The doctor then came in and I spoke to her about the induction. She said that she wanted me to come back this Wednesday and they would check my cervix and schedule the induction. Depending on whether or not my cervix is dialated would depend if I have to go in the night before induction, or the morning of. I have never had an induction before so I dont really know what to expect. But I am so excited! She also measured my uterus and it has gone down 2 cm and she said that means that the baby has dropped.. So now I am off to wait for Wednesday and cant wait to actually have a date set!
