yay today was the long awaited for 12 week scan.i can´t believe we made it this far.i feel so blessed. while lying on the bed waiting for her to start i thought i was gonna pass out. i just didn´t want any bad news. and thank God i didn´t get any. heart rate was 152 and baby was moving around and touching her face. it was so cute. i´m just relieved it´s over and done with.
i then went to see the specialist. she´s a professor who specialises in pre-term birth. sh talked about what hapened and that sadly there is nothing they will or can do differently. just that i will come in a bit more and do vaginal swabs just to keep an eye on the infection and the lenght of my cervix. she did a swab today and booked me in for a ultrasound at 16 weeks to check the cervix. if it seems to be shortening i might need a stitch. but she did say that chances of it happening again are small.
so for now she said rest, stay off my feet, no loving till 24 weeks. poor hubby :-( but as for me i´m okay with that he he he. we got three pics.
