23-1-2009 - Almost had Charity

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Starting yesterday I woke up and went shopping with a girlfriend for my Baby Shower that is supposed to be on February 7. I had been nausiated ever since 7:30am and that was from taking these pills the Dr prescribed to me the other day to slow down labor. So I hadn't eaten anything that whole day. We went to Mazzios to eat and I just couldn't. My lower back started hurting around 1:30pm so I dropped my son off to my dads to I could go home and get some rest. I wake up around 5pm from the Dr's office calling about the pills that were making me sick and I let them know that I was also having "Braxton Hicks" what seemed like every 2-5 minutes and they lasted for 30 seconds. She calls the Dr to see what she wanted to do, they call me back and tell me to go to Triage to get checked out, I was like for Braxton Hicks?! So I call my mom and she helps me time them and they were every 4 minutes lasting for about 30 seconds. I call my husband telling I'm going to the Hospital, he rushes home, my parents come over with my son. My husbands mom has to watch him. So we all head to the Hospital I go in the waiting room for like 30 minutes (they were full). They hook me up to the monitor and there it is I am having contractions every 4 minutes and they were getting stronger. The Nurse checks me and I am 2-3cm dilated and 50% effaced. She calls the Dr and the Dr wants her to give me a shot that stopes the contractions (bummer) and they gave me 2 bags of fluids to help me not be nausiated. So I got home around 10:30pm. I'm just taking it easy now, my son is with my mother-in-law. So if I have more contractions I have to go back up there so they can give me more medicine to stop the contractions UNLESS I'm too far dilated where they can't do anything. I'm 35W3D Pregnant. So atleast I know it wont be too much longer till she's here...
