23-5-2009 - Baby Shower @ work

My mood while writing this blog:
Proud of self control

Yesterday I went to my job where a coworker gave me a shower. I was dreading seeing my supervisor but figured it will be the last since she is leaving the school. Well everything was going well, I enjoyed see the coworkers and all. Well in opening gifts I came to hers and she had given me a card that said have a geat great bridal shower. I turned to her and said did you give me the wrong card and she said no, I picked the right card. I was good the old Donna would have gone off or said something very nasty to her. Instead I just smiled and made a big fuss over her gift. Everyone looked at me and was shocked at my reaction but turned up their face at her. As I said before she kept telling my coworkers she didnt want the kids to know I was at the school. I understand we all have our views on subjects but if she did not like mine she should of been adult enough to keep hers to herself. Now I started to insteaded of sending her a thank you card send her a simpathy card on her life, but that would show she upset me. Anolther coworker said tell her supervisor but I figure it will only make things worse for future events by coworkers and since she is leaving in a few weeks wont effect her. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Yeah, she sounds really crazy. I wouldn't stoop to her level. At least she bought the baby something, even if she did it just so she could buy you that crazy card. She's probably miserable and you know misery loves company.
