17-6-2009 - Expenses of a new baby after 20 yrs

Yesterday I went for one of my biweekly nst visits at the dr. The dr said I had the look of defeat on my face. I explained nope just waiting, i have become patient and know that baby will come when he and God decides he will come. All I can do is sit back enjoy the kicks in same spot that hurt, vomitting and nausea after every meal, annoyance by almost everyone around me and lack of sleep......smile. But what made me laugh was when she told me next week I will do a 36 week test to check for some bacteria that is given for virgina delivery. She then says I know you are having a c section but we have to do anyway, just in case we need to give antibiotics. I was proud of self and just smiled and said so in other words another test to run up my insurance and deductible bill before delivery. When I add up how much I have spent in co-pays for medicine, and visits every two weeks it is crazy. Not to mention deductibles. Crazy thing is my insurance starts July 1st so if baby does not come before then I am zapped twice on meeting deductibles this pregnancy. Expensive baby before being born and I can only imagine after. On the plesant side my son did find me a play pen for $5 at a yard sale. It was filthy dirty but I sat it in the tub in clorox mixture over nite and you would think it was brand new. He didnt recognize it after, thought I brought a new one.
