07-7-2009 - It's not fair

My mood while writing this blog: dissapointed

I went to my 37th week NST/Dr appt this morning and was so disapointed. I explained to the dr about my short term disability running out at end of Aug before my 6 week post will complete and to see if we can move c section delivery date up to this Friday the 10th instead of next Friday the 17th. The difference a week can make. Well she told me to do that I had to have an aminocentesis done. I immediately told her NO!!! I would not do it at week 18 and really wont now at week 37. I am already preparing for the pain of a c section dont need additional pain before that. All she could say is "Its a small needle". I am like right, no thank you.

So I will have to wait the additional week. I pray my employer continues to hold my position the additional weeks. I work for Virginia State and short term disability is only 26 weeks and I have been on bed rest / house arrest since then. After the 26 weeks it goes to Long term disability and my employer can post my job and I am responsibility for paying my benefits via COBRA, which is very expensive. As well as salary goes to 50% which wont cover the benefits.

So pray for me ladies maybe now that I have narrowed baby name down to two he will decide to come on his own before then. Even though he is resting as comfortable as can be and shows no signs of budging at all. I think if its up to him he will stay inside until week 50.
