Wednesday, 27 May hey there just wanted to tell you that my little girl will be 21 months old june 4 and she was born at 32 weeks and 4 days....she stayed in the NICU for 15 days...she was on the CPAP (oxygen in the nose) for 4 days and after 4 days was breathing on her own....after that she was what is called a "feeder/grower" which means they were waiting on her to be able to either breastfeed or suck a bottle with no problem and she needed to be able to keep her own temp. up without being in the warmer thingy...if you need any questions answered and i can answer them i will be more than glad to help! oh she was born at 4lbs 12 oz but dropped down to about 4 lbs even casslynn1022 -

Sunday, 24 May Hey It will be okay...she may be a little on the small side but will catch up quickly. Her lungs are the main concern...they have been giving you shots for them to mature quicker. If need they will give her surfactants after she comes. She may need a respirator maybe..not though. The other concern will be sucking..eating. They may need to feed her with a special bottle. But, none of this will be for very long. Or..she may come with minimal issues and get to go home fairly soon. They have made great advances in Preemie care over the past years. I will keep you and baby in my prayers and wish you luck. so blessed -

Saturday, 23 May i had my son premaute but he was about 5lbs 13 oz at35 weeks he did awesome and after getting used to a tiny baby it was pretty much all the same, it is hard with them having to be in the nicu and stuff but it was not to hard for me, i first almost had my son at 29 weeks and they had high hopes for him and said he would probably be fine and after about 32 weeks they said that there is really no worry, hopefully if you have her she will be as good as he was!!!! GOOD LUCK!!! and everyday at this point i think is a better chance so try to keep her in there! imdondee -
Saturday, 23 May I know my dr said once they weigh 4lbs you are safe. The baby can functions on their own. It was one of the first things he told me in beginning thats why I was excited my baby is now 4lbs. Of course the more weight the better. However you dont want them to stress either. Your body knows what it can endure and I am sure you and little one will be fine. Get sleep now while you can. My prayers are with you
