08-5-2009 - Kiran Kraig Birth 11.11.97 BlessedMy mood while writing this blog:
Blessed

I had been married to my husband for a while...we decided to try for a baby but nothing was happening, I was confused, I already had a son, Craig didnt though so tests had to be done...He was fine, me on the other hand had developed Polycystic Ovaries. And they were bad, I was put on Provera to start periods as mine stopped, and Clomid to try and get pregnant, I did within the first month but at 8 weeks I lost the baby, I was hysterical. I had never experienced loss like that, I also haemorraged and had to have an operation as I was in serious trouble, I needed 3 lots of transfusion blood pumped into me.

After 6 months we decided to try again, the doctors were happy for us too try aswell. And nothing happened, month after month, nothing, then against advice from the docs, we went out, got drunk and came home and did what you do in a loving relationship on valentines night...no saving him up, no having sex in a particular way, no holding bum up, and so on.

The day before my husbands birthday, I threw up and looked confused at our flat mate...I did a pregnancy test and screamed out, my poor husband was in work it was the flat mate to rejoice with, lol. Everything seemed fine although pain in tummy and back was bad but the docs said it was fine just stretching, and then after loads of stress from a loud obnoxious neighbour, I started bleeding bad at 10 weeks. I was rushed in for an emergency scan and they couldnt find anything, we were gutted, but she called another sonographer in due to my womb looking pregnant just no baby??? The new lady found him straight away, nestled really high in my womb. Phew. And, we were given a picture and sent away to rest...

The bleeding stopped as soon as it started and we moved to get away from her.

I went for my 20 week scan, but he would not let us know what sex he was. lol.

Finally, I was in and out of hospital for high blood pressure and on his due date I was having slow labour contractions, they hospital called me in and they decided to induce me again...I was given the pessary at 6am and asked to go to sleep, my husband went to the shop and the house to freshen up, we didnt have cell phones then, and no home phone. I, as before started straight away, lol. I was taken straight down and when he got back he nearly crapped himself...

All went well, they broke my waters, then his heart beat got sketchy so they placed a monitor on his head, and he calmed down, My midwife found out about my previous labour and was fabulous with me, I even allowed a student in so she would learn to be good and not like the horrorbags of my previous labour. At around 11am my radio in the room stopped and I was not impressed, I needed music of some sort...the midwife scuttled off to next room and came back saying she was confused as the radio in their was broken aswell...at that moment the DJ stated "and that is the end of the silence for rememberance day" and we all howled with laughter, not one of us had realised it was rememberance day, 11.11. Anyway, normal labour continued... She looked at me and stated she was going for a brew as I wasnt ready yet. A couple of mins later I sat bolt upright and made what my husband likened to an unearthly growl...he pulled the cord and I pushed as I couldnt do anything other...the midwife appeared at the door as I gave birth and slid fast across the floor and caught my new baby boy before he slid off the end...many jokes of catchers mitt were made. lol.
