12-12-2009 - christmas unsureMy mood while writing this blog:
unsure

hi there girlys!!!

im aving a bit of a cofsion over christmas. WE dont want to spend too much money as we dont have any lol so weve only gotten amy a ffew things, like puzzles and push along car and a handy manny tool kit all from asda (wallmart) and weve spent less than 20 pounds o n her. now i think thats normal and okay becuase she doesnt understnad christmas and doesnt need anything but iv had nothing but greef over it from people who i know who also have children. ones gone as far as calling me neglectful for not buyin amy "decent presents"

i guess im asking am i wrong for not buying her lots more than a few toys and crayons etc? should i just go out and get her something big like a bouncing zebra just because its the "done thing to do" ? im getting upset with been insulted over it xxx

Izzie whoever is saying that to you is talking crap. Buy her whatever you want to get her. It is probably best to keep it simple, atleast then she won't be one of those kids who think they can get whatever they want all the time.My sister in-law gives her son the argos catalogue and gets him whatever he wants from it and then tells everyone else what to get him. I think stuff that, where is the surprise in that???

Girl do not listen to those bozos!! Amy will love anything you give her and won't even play with half of them anyway if you get her a lot of stuff. Ethan has a whole box of stuff in the living room and you know what he does, goes in my cabinet and gets out cans of veg!!! At least you guys were able to get her something so they can all just go shove it!! you do what you need to do, what's more important a roof over her head or a toy in her hand in a homeless shelter???!!!!!

she will probably be more interested in boxes than the actual toys so dnt worry wat ppl say. It is sad that any1 would this things to u. As long as ur all happy stuff them lol xxx

WOW!! have people really forgotten the true meaning of why we celebrate Christmas?? That is super sad to me....people have some nerve to open their big mouths & make comments to you about how much you spend or not spend...as long as your baby has what she needs, a few extras & the love of her family surrounding her...what a blessing....People really need to get back the true meaning of Christmas & then maybe their mouths would match their hearts....my God bless you & your family

no dont do that. shes probably going to get other presents from other people. i spent more on eloise than i thought i would but shes only got 4 toys and a bunch of little things like crayons for her stocking which are all from poundland. Ill admit ive spent more than 20 but i found an article that said the average child will get 360 spent on them by there parents i was thinking i havent even go that to spend on the whole family etc. I've only got a budget of about 20 for everyone so i know how you feel, ive just searched and searched for deals. The people who matter know how hard things are so they will understand. If they dont tell them to shove it lol. She'll probably pick one toy and wont play with the rest more than once when she unwraps them. Children of her age dont understand it and would rather play with the boxes eloise is 19months and she still likes doing that. Oh and i dont know what price that handy manny thing is in asda but everywhere else like argos its not bloody cheap.
