26-5-2009 - Really Bummed Out...

My mood while writing this blog: sad/confused

Hey everyone, so today my husband and I went to our 1st Dr. appt. for our 1st ultrasound to find out how far along we are. According to lmp I should be 6 weeks pg. Well, during the ultrasound, the Dr. said that my gestational sac is really small, either meaning I'm earlier than we thought, maybe 5 weeks pg, or the pregnancy Isn't healthy. According to the time we know we conceived which was May 2-5, we should only be about 5 weeks pregnant because i ovulated 1 week late.So I'm really hoping this means we are only 5 weeks preg. rather than 6 weeks. The gestational sac measured .765 cm does anyone know if this is normal for 5 weeks pg? Im really worried. I went to get my blood work done to check my Hcg and i go back Thurs. for another Hcg test, so hopefully that proves a healthy pregnancy. And to top it all off, we have to wait 3 weeks before doing another ultrasound! OMG! Im stressing! please help with any info you may know that could ease my mind. I really don't want to lose this little one.
