So my OB drama continues.....I had to skip the midwife and go to my old OB for an issue and he really ripped me a new one for seeing a midwife. He said she lived in a bo-dunk town, and tha I would recieve bo-dunk care--that where I deliver is not important and that he calls doula's "hire a friend". Needless to say I left his office in tears. He made me feel completely incompetent and would not listen to a word I had to say. He also made fun of my choice to want to labor in a tub..he sarcasticly commented something about sitting in a bathtub. He wouldnt answer any question about contuinoius monotoring and to top it all off he acted very blahze about why I cant have an epidural to begin with---he seemed to think I was making up a story about Horners syndrome because he had never heard of it.....I told him to google it, he's not too old to learn something new....WOW..it was terrible, but I did decide to find a new practice altogether....The Bo-dunk town he was referring to does not have a NICU in the hospital and the baby would have to be flighted to one in the city I live, so at 13 weeks and some change I am now shopping new OB's and midwives...I have an app today and tomorrow then I am going to FINALLY going to make up my mind.....Hope all you gals are doing great. Holy crap! Sorry, normally don't use that language, but think he deserved that! You definitely need to find a new dr...one that you can trust and call anytime and not leave in tears. I have never heard of that, and sorry you are the one going through it, and then while your hormones are on overdrive! UGH!! Well, hope your appts go well and you find the one you love...I know my OBG is about almost 2 hrs away, but since he is so nice/good, I continue. Take care. :)

Oh...and screw this Dr. I wish I could remember the practice I went to when I lived in Columbus...I know it was in Dublin - near the Urgent Care I think off Franz Rd?

hey jamie, so this child is breech. fun fun. i'll be having a c-section on the 29th. oh well. but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel. how are you holding up?? i completely forgot to write you. i think you asked about my OB. i go to pro. for women's health which is who i think you're having problems with. let me know.
