My mood while writing this blog: happy |
so my 4yo kept saying for the past couple of weeks that he didnt want to know if the baby was a boy or girl until she was born. i was shocked when he kept telling me that. well he told me he wanted to know now and we made sure he wanted to know before we told him. when my hubby and i told him he was having a baby sister he was sooo excited! it was so neat seeing him so excited knowing he was getting a baby sister. we are all so happy! also, i chose the name Jordyn, and my hubby said that name was fine, well now that ppl know we are having a girl they are asking if we have names, and i tell them Jordyn, and some ppl tell me i need to pick a more girly name, and that, that is a boys name. its getting irritating! i think i have decided not to tell anyone for sure our name until she gets here. the neat thing is im going to use my moms middle name for our daughter, but my mom doesnt know that yet. i will wait to tell her until she is born. so her name would be Jordyn Kay. she will have the same initials as me: JKG, so i thought that was kindof neat also. what do you all think of the name Jordyn for a girl? thanks for your comments! i like reading what everyone else has to say!

Thursday, 12 Mar I like the name a lot!!
When I was pregnant with my daughter I got so sick of peoples comments we decided when we settled on a name we would not tell anyone until she was born so no one knew her name not even our parents. It was a nice touch to announce her name with her birth ;o) We are doing the same thing this time around as well keeping it to ourselves.

Sunday, 8 Mar I think it's a beautiful name! Jordyn Kay goes great together. That's very sweet of you to use your mother's name for your daughter's middle name. I'm sure she will appreciate that. As for other people telling you that you need to pick out a more girly name...I would just brush it off. This should be an exciting time for you, don't let someone "rain on your parade" just because they are rude and can't keep their opinions to themselves. It's a beautiful name! chunkymunky -

Friday, 6 Mar I think it's a great girl's name. Don't worry about what people say, and weather you tell them now or tell them later, they are going to have something to say. In the end, it's your child and your decision. Diegirl -
Friday, 6 Mar I personally love it! It's a beautiful girl name and the way you spell it is definitely feminine.
