I had my 28 week ob appt today, and first i had to drink the orange stuff for the glucose testing, then i saw the dr. and she listened to babys heartbeat and measured my belly. i dont know what the heartrate was or the measurement of my belly because she never tells me. then after that i had to get blood drawn for the gestational diabetes test, and after that i had to get a shot of Rhogam. the Rhogam is for women with negative blood types, so that if the baby has a positive blood type, my blood doesnt attack the babys blood and cause problems. so it was a fun, pokey day! lol hopefully i pass the glucose test! im getting more and more excited for my baby to get here. i have a baby shower on sunday and cant wait! hope everyone else is doing well!

i had my glucose test today too...it wasn't so bad i just tried to drink it and not think abou it. Tired of being poked though, they took blood and then pricked my finger to check my iron. As for the heartbeat i would ask...luckily they always tell me.

My midwife never tells me my belly measurements either, but you should ask about the baby's heart rate, it is your baby and you have a right to know. I had to do the glucose test last week and it was horrible!!! Anyways I hope everything's going ok! Take care!
