20-10-2008 - Ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Had my ultrasound today, it was so awesome. I just can't believe that a baby is inside me right now! It really is the most amazing thing ever. And I have never had to pee that bad in my life! I didn't even drink the full amount and I even let a little bit out before I went to the appointment. The tech did her thing for the first half hour, getting good pics of the heart and spine because the baby was in the perfect postion for those shots as quoted by her. She then had me pee a bunch out because my bladder was so full. Then she did a whole bunch more looking around, probably at the brain etc. After that she let me pee everything out. She also measured me at 19 weeks and 2 days so my due date has changed to March 14, 2009. Then she went and got dh and we both got to see our little babe. The baby was moving it's arms around, and we got to see the mouth moving a lot. She called him/her a little boxer :) She showed us the heart which was so cool. It was at 138 bpm. I was feeling so many emotions, I felt like I wanted to cry and laugh all at the same time. At one point she showed us the lower half of his/her body, the legs and genital area, and I swear a saw a little penis. I totally think I'm having a boy! But who knows, I could be wrong. We bought some pics which I will be putting up later today.
