Is anyone else making the most stupid mistakes at work??

No 1, at the end March, I was trying to clear my one account, but I did the journal the wrong way round and ended up doubling up the account and the auditors were coming to look at our accounts for the month of April.

Then the end of last month, I was supposed to pay over the final tax for the company, the deadline, if missed, could result in 100% penalties..and I FORGOT to give this to my colleague to pay for me. I couldnt sleep cos this was bugging me, so I finally go and tell my manager and she was alright, but the recon didnt make sense, so she didnt want to pay it anyway. But luckily, I didnt do the recon.

Then, this guy joined the medical aid in Feb and I loaded him on, but didnt load his wife, AND my colleague checked my work and she didnt pick it up. Now the medical aid wants to suspend him. But I mean, if you know you're supposed to be paying $350 a month and only $200 is coming off your salary, dont you ask questions, what do we give you payslips for if you dont check them. Hello!!!!!

Anyway, i'm most recently in shite for this last one, my manager is going to call me in I heard, but its Friday and 13h10, 3,5 hours to go! I hope she just forgets...atleast today!!!

Another thing, we've got one side of our offices that do the recons, if they had compared the billing to what was deducted off the payroll, they would've picked up in February already that this guy was short paying. But anyways....i'm just trying to shift the blame. Not really, there should be more controls in place, I think!
