14-7-2009 - My Holiday

My mood while writing this blog: So so

Well, we finally went away, started off slowly but eventually did get outta town. I took leave from the 2nd July but dh had to work, so I spent the day sleeping and then going to the shops to get what we needed for the road.

Then eventually we got to get outta this place on the Friday at about 10am, but because of the roadworks, it took us an hour to get on the highway out of here. So we basically only left town at 11am. The kids weren't restless, surprisingly and it was a pleasant trip down. I just had a lot of pain in my pubic bone from sitting for 6 hours but nevertheless when we got to Durban, we just had to go for a walk on the beach.

Everyday we spent on the beach, although the weather was warm, it wasn't hot enough for ME to swim, but the kids did, well the kid did, Jayden loved it. Ty was so scared of the water, everytime it came for him, he ran away so all he did was make sand cakes and castles. And I just layed in the sun and baked. So so so nice to feel the warm sun on your skin, with no icy cold wind blowing on you.

My MIL cooked for us every single day and she even did the washing and ironing. I picked up 4kg's while down there. Every night we'd have a cup of hot chocolate and a muffin, this was after dinner, or MIL would bake all the time and then we would have dessert after dinner.

We took the kids to the funfair, but because Jayden's 9 and Ty's only 3, they couldnt really go on all the rides, well Jayden could go on Ty's rides, but he couldnt go on hers, and ofcourse I couldnt go with her, so she went by herself until dh decided to go with her, only 2ce and then felt like he was gonna puke....lol

The kids had so much fun, I loved being with them, I actually miss them now. I cannot wait to be at home with them at the end of the year. I've never taken leave in December, so atleast now I'll be at home the whole month as well as January and I can spend all my time with all my little bambino's!!!
