| 20-10-2010 - 16 weeks and counting |  My mood while writing this blog:grateful |
Last Friday the 15th I had a doctors appointment at right about 16 weeks. The doctor used the doppler and I heard the heartbeat for the first time :) Last time at 12 weeks it was 160 bpm and this time it was 155. I told her at my last visit I was only about 11 weeks so they just pulled the ultrasound machine in and did it that way, which was fine too.
I only heard it for a minute, those doctors aren't in there with you for very long. It was very in and out, then I was out of there before I knew it. I guess they don't do much until later in the pregnancy.
The great thing is that I have not gained much weight, only about 1-2 pounds. I am sure this will change soon though! I started out at 185 pounds so I am definitely not looking forward to gaining the weight! I don't find myself eating too much more than I always have, hopefully things don't get out of hand!
I took a belly pic last week at exactly 16 weeks, I will be posting that either today or tomorrow.

The routine appointments at my ob are always quick and you get to hear the heartbeat just for maybe 45 seconds. It is always nice to hear though!! So glad everything is going so great. That is awesome about the weight too. I am still hovering around only gaining a pound. Hopefully I will be as lucky and you!! Can't wait to hear what you are having!!

Great news. Time will fly and before you know it your gorgeous baby will be in your arms. That's when the fun really begins. It's def easier when they are still inside your belly : - )

Its so nice to hear the heartbeat espeically early on when you cant feel the movements. I ended up hiring a doppler though just for the last 2 months cos i got anxious a few times mainly cos i had been busy and of course after all the tests. Lucky you not putting on much - i think i must have put on about 2 or 3 stones!

I found they dont do too much more later in pregnancy either. They just measure you aswell and thats about it. Glad you and your little one are doing well. cant wait to see your belly pic :)
