My mood while writing this blog: Excited! |
You would think being that this is my 6th pregnancy that I would understand how my body works when I'm pregnant but I don't. EVERY pregnancy has been different, which I just don't understand. For example, with all of my past pregnancies my breasts always hurt early on. It was usually my first symptom. The swelling and growth started right away as well. This time, they did not hurt whatsoever until last night. Now, OUCH! They are all of a sudden larger, swollen and VERY tender to the touch or any kind of bouncing. Having a toddler jump all over me does not help ;) He doesn't know, so I don't get mad at him, but just try to keep him away from them if he's not calm. Also, heartburn has been around for weeks. I never got it with my past pregnancies until much later on. My face has broken out quite a bit this time around and my hair isn't as thick, shiny and healthy as it was with my last pregnancy.
Other than that, my pants are getting tight! All of my jeans and work pants are uncomfortable when I have them buttoned. I don't know yet what I'll do about that. I'm not really big enough to wear maternity clothes but definitely need to do something. For now, I am just unbuttoning my pants as soon as I sit, even at work. I'm thinking of getting a bella band but do they work? I'm not sure if they do. If anyone reads this and you've had one before, let me know!
Oh, and next Thursday, the 14th is the nuchal translucency ultrasound. I'm looking forward to it but feeling nervous as well. I always get so nervous before ultrasounds! I hope everything looks good. I also hope we get to find out if this is a boy or girl. This is the ultrasound that we found out with Brody. EXCITING!!! Next week I might know boy or girl. Can't wait!

Tuesday, 5 May Hi Jen! I have the BellaBand and it was my LIFESAVER! Because I am tall I cannot wear Maternity pants...I always look like I am preparing for a flood! Thank goodness my pregnancies have been for the most part in the summer when I can wear skirts and shorts:) Anyway, I think it works great. I even got to where I couldn't zip my pants at all and it held them up just fine. Definitely give it a try! Nicoletka -
Monday, 4 May Really? Did you know the sex of your baby at 12 weeks? That gives me hope! I've had alot of mixed responses about that so its nice to hear it is possible I will not get my hopes up but thanks my doctors receptionist told me to have my first appointment at 12 weeks so that I could see the sex but like I said not everyone agrees? Thats funny but I guess every child is different so why shouldn't the pregnancy... My boobs are slightly sensitive but shame I can just imagine your pain! Hang in there...
