27-10-2009 - H1N1 flu

My mood while writing this blog:
scared/nervous

What is your doctor saying about the H1N1 flu? Is your baby getting the shots? Are you??? I'm a teacher and am so scared of getting sick and passing it on to Shayla :o( SO MANY teachers and kids at my school and in the district are getting sick. I fear it's just a matter of time before we get it... ugh. Shayla has her one year appt on Tuesday and will ask the doc about it. I hope you all stay healthy! Gargle salt water or listerine, put salt water up your nose, take vitamin C, drink warm liquids EVERYDAY! I'll be happy when flu season is over!

My pediatrician isn't worried about it-it's no worse than the regular flu. He also refuses to give the vaccine to any of his patients because it is too new and has not been tested enough. My brother saw that a college girl got really sick from the vaccine. it may be one in a million, but I know I am not going to take any unnecessary risks. I'll be gargling salt water and downing Emergen-C, I'm even thinking of wearing a mask!

addy took the reg flu but he doesnt want his babies to take the swine flu one hes only giving those to age 2 and over because its too new and their immune systems cant handle it if something goes wronghe also gives the reg flu shot in two times instead of all at once

I have the swine flu and have a 13 month old DD and am 6 weeks pregnant....So far only I am sick!....it is rough but do able! Just don't worry about it to much!
