08-1-2009 - 1st doctor appt- 8 wks 2 days.

My mood while writing this blog:
Nauseous.

So today was my first doctor appointment!
I'll start with the not so good stuff: First off, I am 10 pounds heavier now than I was at my first appointment when I was pregnant with Ava...NOT too thrilled about that at all. Although I do believe I have gained about 2 pounds since last month, so maybe I'll go with *8* pounds heavier lol...still doesn't make me feel better! But the doctor was not concerned with that at all =D. Then I found out I'm just a week shy of being able to hear the heart beat with the doppler, sooo I did not get to hear that precious little swooshing noise today =(.
That's it for the bad, now on to the good: Ok, so I go on February 3rd to get my 1st trimester screen, I'll get to see and hear my little peanut then thank God! Time is going to go so slow until then! I also spoke with my doctor about my anxiety/depression meds, he said I can definitely take my Zoloft daily, it will do NO harm to the baby! So yay for that! The Xanax he only wants me to take if I REALLY TRULY need it. I take such a small dose that it won't do any harm if I take it when I desperately need it. So yay for that too. He says I'm doing great so far =D.

So, on another note, I have not really been eating throughout the day, I really have no appetite. Around 8:30 pm every night I get a huge wave of exhaustion and I pass out on my couch for about 30-45 minutes...which in turn keeps me up ALL night. 3 nights in a row now I have not fallen asleep before 4 am!!! So in that large amount of time that I'm awake, I'M STARVING! Ugh!! I eat, and 10 minutes later I'm hungry again! I cannot keep doing this, I only gained 24 pounds with Ava when I delivered her, some of that was even due to retaining fluid, I'm going to try to gain even less than that this time because I'm heavier starting off!!
Also, I have been pretty damn miserable, I feel HUGE! Bloated and gassy and constipated (not unusual for me), I do not want to leave the house I'm so damn miserable...my pants are already not fitting, even the gumband trick isn't working on my jeans anymore...I have to go buy some maternity clothes this weekend, all my shirts from my last pregnancy are still too big and I gave away some of my jeans. So I am totally in sweat pant/sweat shirt mode....ok well, I think I have done enough ranting for one night!!
