06-2-2009 - Yay for sonograms :D

My mood while writing this blog:
Nauseous but happy.

So on Tuesday I had my 1st trimester screen, I was so nervous going in there. I thought for sure there wouldn't be a heart beat, or something terrible would be wrong. Was I relieved when I saw that little nugget in there with his/her little heart beating away!! So much tension left my body at that moment. Steve and Ava were with me, so Ava go to meet her little brother or sister :D She was not very happy with the tech though, she kept yelling at her, I think Ava thought she was hurting me!! So protective of her mommy! So anyway, the baby was measuring perfectly for my due date, and the heart beat was a perfect 165 bpm. That little thing in my belly was jumping and rolling all over the place, it was so amazing, I almost forgot what a great experience it is to see your precious little bean! So as it turns out, there are no chances for any chromosomal abnormalities, thank you Jesus!
So then on Thursday (yesterday) I had my regular ob appt. I was so nervous to get on that scale! With my daughter, I hardly gained any weight until my 3rd trimester and even by the end of my pregnancy I had only gained 24 lbs. But this time around I feel like I am doing much worse. I mean, I have had pretty mad m/s, almost no vomiting though, just horrendous nausea. I only have a real appetite at night, which is no fun! So anywho, I step on the scale, and to my surprise I lost a pound! Whew! That made me feel good!! I got to hear the heart beat again and this time it was in the 170's. I'm so happy and relieved that everything is going so well with this little one...besides the m/s!
I also have definitely been feeling some movement in my tummy. I felt it before the sonogram but I didn't want to jinx myself lol. Sometimes it feels like a little nudge and sometimes it feels like a little vibration. I love it so much, I didn't feel Ava moving til around 16 weeks so this is just great!
Ok I think I'm done updating for now, my little girl is trying to give me a stroke...she keeps climbing on the couch and jumping and she insists on touching all the buttons on the tv!!!! So that means mommy needs to get off her butt and keep her occupied!! lol Bye :D
