So, where do I begin? Ugh the past week has been awful. My 87 year old Grandmother (Nana) was taken to the emergency room by my mom because she was spitting up blood. At the er they did a chest x ray and found pneumonia, they kept her over night and were going to do a ct scan in the morning. We were all relieved it was just pneumonia ((She is very active and healthy and lives alone and drives and all that fun stuff))...anyway, Sunday morning they do the ct scan and find that she has lung cancer.....each lung has a very large mass and it is also affecting her lymph nodes, it is inoperable. My whole family is totally devastated. She is the rock in our lives, she has been like a mother to me and my brother our whole lives. She had a needle biopsy of her lungs today and we will know in a few days what stage and type of cancer it is. She is willing to do chemo and radiation, so we'll see. We have all been practically living at the hospital with her. It's been very tough on everyone, but she is in good spirits, so that makes us feel better.
Now onto my appt. Nothing too exciting, heart beat was in the 150's, I'm measuring perfectly and I still have not gained any weight! Yay go me. But all was well with that. Say a little prayer for my Nana, she needs all she can get. Thanks.

I definitely know the feeling. My grandfather(papa) is 88 and the exact same way except he has a tumor on his brain. My prayers are with you and your nana.
