16-5-2009 - Bitchy bitch.

My mood while writing this blog:
FAT

Ok so I don't really blog very much, but I decided that today I would let myself have a little rant....

Let's start with the most annoying things. My legs. My legs officially look like tree trunks. Now don't get me wrong, I have always had bigger legs, lots of muscle. But my calves and my ankles! What ankles?! It's a straight shot from my knees down. I am officially a "cankles" owner. YUCK! And now on to my ass...........well lets just say that my "love handles" have now taken on a mind of their own and decided to become my 3rd and 4th butt cheeks. So I now have a shelf butt....it's so nasty and big. Hmmm, ok now onto my face....it's big, it's round, it has a large double chin and I think my cheek bones have disappeared. Oh! I can't forget the back fat!!!!! OMG. I hate it. I need to wear like a super tight tank top under my shirts so it hides the flubber rolls under my bra straps..lol. My hands and wrists are swelling already, I don't know what I'm gonna do when it's 95 degrees and super humid...NOT looking forward to that. One good thing is I have not gotten any new stretch marks (yet). And thank God because my dear sweet little Ava gave me plenty of those!!!

So needless to say, physically I'm disgusted. I haven't even gained much weight, a few lbs. But it's like I lost 10 pounds of muscle and gained 20 in fat.
Emotionally, I'm doing pretty well I think, I'm excited and happy about this little man going nuts in my tummy. I can't wait to meet him.
I get tired SO easily, 12 hours of sleep every night would still not be enough. But considering I'm chasing around my little 20 month old angel every day, I guess it could be worse.
Well I guess my little rant is done for now. I go to the docs on the 22nd and I'm really nervous that when I get on that scale it's going to go off the charts...I just feel so...BIG ya know!? And after that will be the GTT, which I am not looking forward to...I'm nervous it will be positive...ugh pregnancy works your nerves like there is no tomorrow...

Girl, I so know what you mean. It's hard to feel pretty when you can't recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror! I grumble all the time to DH but he just sighs and says I'm being "delusional." He keeps reminding me that "you're not getting fat...you're having a baby." But it really doesn't help that much. What's worse, all the freaking pregnancy advertisements I see, perfect pregnant models who don't have any extra fat...just a cute little bump. Their faces haven't morphed into a marshmallow. All I can say is I am right there with you and don't feel bad ever about complaining. We gotta vent sometimes, right?!

LOL I'm cracking up! Its only so funny to me because I feel the exact same way! Girl I've had the cankles and back fat thing going on for a few weeks now and its not cute! No matter how I adjust my clothes you can still see all of my lumps and dents through them! I am one of those that strongly believes that just because I'm pregnant, it doesn't mean that I have to dress in moo moos and not fix myself up when I go in public...LOL Its hard to make yourself look decent for public when I look like shamu walking! I got so many stretch marks with my first pregnant (they were so bad...) and thankfully I haven't gotten any new stretch marks with this one but I'm 26wks and have already gained 34lbs! OMG The humidity and hot weather makes me not want to even go outside! Anyway, hang in there...you are not alone!
