| 17-4-2008 - Pregnancy Update | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
34 Weeks and counting.....
This past weekend we went shopping and bought everything we thought we would need when we bring Baby Girl home. And of course we ended up buying a few other things that we probably don't need but were just too cute. Babies R Us is so addicting! The nursery is close to being finished although we still have to assemble the changing table. Hubby is sleeping in there on an air mattress at the moment due to my new habit of snoring like a lumberjack.
I am still working full-time but am working from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays to give my swollen ankles and aching hips a break. On Tuesday I opened up all the packages from the Baby Shower and cut tags off all the sweet little dresses and onesies. I started washing everything and discovered I had one load of "light pinks" and a whole other load of "dark pinks" - never knew there could be so many shades!
I still have to pack my hospital bags - hope to do that this weekend. Going to have hubby install the car seat, clean out the closet to make room for the stroller, assemble the changing table and help me put away all the freshly washed clothes and blankets. Also need to set up the bassinet in our room. Maybe I am nesting through him! My due date is May 26th but I hit the full-term mark on May 4th and will start working from home full time that week - can't wait!
Otherwise I am feeling OK. Baby Girl is moving around a lot and making me feel al bruised on the inside. She really likes to push on the underside of my belly button which is soooo painful. Feet and ankles are still swelling by the end of the day. Hips are aching, although the belly belt is helping a lot. Heartburn is being controlled to some extent by Pepcid. Breathng is still difficult sometimes - I am looking forward to feeling her drop soon. But other than that I seem to be doing OK. Just ready to have my Baby Girl in my arms!
