13-10-2008 - baby shower

My mood while writing this blog: indifferent

Well yesterday was my baby shower and i am kind of glad its over with, Dont get me wrong i had a great time, but by the time i got home, i was exhausted. I am not one to be the center of attention, so it was a little uncomfortable. My sister in law threw the shower for me, she is wonderful, but when my husband and i showed up to her house, she wasnt even there, nothing was set up or anything, then more guests started arriving, and she still wasnt there. She finally got home, just to realize she didnt have a big enough cake,so she left again for like a half hour. So myself and the other guests just kind of congregated on the driveway until she got back. So then when everyone else got there, it was like 2 separate parties, his family was in the house, my family was on the driveway, it was very segregated. after everyone ate, then the 2 families joined and we played games, and my husband of all people won most of the games...imagine that...lol.. the gifts were beautiful, and we got some really nice stuff. Then everyone started to go home. So by the time we left, i was mentally and physically tired. But besides all the family drama, it was nice, but like i said, i was glad when it was over, i guess i had envisioned it going differently, but as always i then realize that this life is not a fairy tail.
