17-7-2009 - pregnancy so far

My mood while writing this blog:
alittle sick

so I am 17 weeks along and still feeling sick. Ive basically laid in bed for the last 10 weeks throwing up and when I havent been throwing up I was trying not to. Its been a long acouple of months and staring at the wall and trashcan was really getting to me. Finally I was losing too much weight and extremely sick the day of my appt that my midwife gave me some meds and sent me to the hospitol for some fluid. Since then Ive been eating better, pretty much finding one thing i can handle and eating that for a week straight, mostly fruits, salads and bean burritos is all I have ate. I feel good enough to get out of the house for awhile when I take my nausia meds but I still cant have my hubby eat around me, I cant get into the fridge, get my own food or even attempt to brush my teeth without gagging, esp if I see a hair on the sink I just get soo sick. Smells are still bothering me and if I get worked up I get really sick. Apparently this is all normal but I dont know anyone that has had it as bad as me which is really discouraging. I cant wait to feel better and feel and enjoy being pregnant. I was always so scared to have a baby and go through childbirth but was no prepared for this part of it at all! I always secretly wanted a baby though and now that im finally pregnant I am absolutely miserably sick. I know it will all be worth it, Im just tired of feeling lazy because I cant do anything and leaving everything for my hubby to do. Thank god he's been so good to me.

girl.....i know EXACTLY what ur goin through! I had to spend two days in the hospital for dehydration because i couldn't even drink water! That was when i was 6 weeks....thankfully they gave me some medication to stop me from throwing up and that has help loadssssss cuz i haven't thrown up for the past month. The medication cost me over $200 a month so....i'm not lookin forward to refilling it in the next week or so....but i'm so thankful that i have it so i can get some nutriments to my lil baby. I'm goin to come off of it when i hit 12 weeks and see if the MS is still as bad as it was before but i know exactly what u mean about feeling sick all the time. Especially with the hair on the sink and brushing my teeth....i couldn't even look at certain ppl without wanting to barf...they weren't ugly or anything....jus...made me want to puke. lol. i could barely look at my computer screen at work without wanting to hurl...lol. so believe me when i say the meds DEF are a life saver! Its nice that u have ur husband to help look after u....i really don't know how all those single mothers out there get through nine months of pregnancy on their own much less raising their child on their own. God made women STRONG...i feel proud to b one!
