01-4-2009 - 1st appointment

My mood while writing this blog: nervous but optimistic

I had my first appointmeny yesterday. I am now a little over 8 weeks and I was so excited. Brodie came with us because we couldn't find a sitter so it was quite the adventure taking a 1 year old to a doctor's appointment:)

Everything went pretty well but when the midwife went to do the ultrasound the machine wasn't working very well and she kept asking if we could see it, which I think I did but it was kinda difficult. So immediatley she ordered another ultrasound to make sure the baby is viable and to check dates. AUGH!! I cried because I THOUGHT I saw it, and my husband did as well. But of course I am going to overthink this and wonder if everything is okay. Why would she order another ultrasound? She didn't do that with my first and you could barley see him. Hmmm...So, of course I spent yesterday in tears and I am optimistic but nervous for Friday.

I know that this is all in God's hands and no matter what I feel so privelged to be a mom. I just know that the next 48 hours are going to feel like forever! I just pray that everything is okay. Thanks for listening...sometimes it just feels better getting it out there:)
