My mood while writing this blog: exhausted

Hey all!!!!

How are all my friends out there?! I pray everyone is doing well!!! Sorry its been a while since I blogged. Been so busy keeping up with Laya. I'm absolutely exhausted these days! But what a great ride its been! She is just so much fun!

Lets see, she turned 2 on St. Patrick's Day. She is still in the 95% in height and the 40% in weight. She mostly favors me but I'm seeing more and more of her daddy every day. Especially, in the height department. She is sleeping in a toddler bed which we had to transition to when she very randomly one day decided to not only show us how she can climb out of her crib very easily but also open the door! Talk about a surprise to us and a very quick trip to babies'r'us to get some safety knobs for the doors! She can sing her ABC's well and is learning 10 through 20 now with counting. She knows all of her colors but is having a tough time with yellow. We've dabbled in the potty training bit, but we are not rushing it. She has gone a couple of times in the toilet but hopefully we will be diaper free by the end of the summer. In the food department, she loves her veggies, especially corn on the cob, peas, and green beans. Fruits are a success, too, with blueberries and bananas being at the top of the list. She loves to play outside with her soccer ball and bubbles, enjoys bouncing on the neighbors tampoline and playing princess. She is better in a pair of heels then I am! Its unreal! She got a tricycle for her birthday and she calls it her motorcycle. Loves it! Can't wait until it gets warmer and she is using it all the time. And we start swim lessons on the 20th of April so I'm looking forward to those, too. I know she will do great. We have a beach vacation planned soon so that will be fun. I know this year, she will really be able to absorb whats going on and enjoy the waves and sand.

Scott and I are thinking about trying for baby number 2 this fall. We are really excited but nervous, too. We haven't figured out all the costs of daycare yet but we know everything will fall into place. Anyway, thinking of all of you out there! Again, I pray everyone is doing well.
