| 17-10-2008 - 16 week update | My mood while writing this blog:relaxed... finally! |
Hey Ladies!
I pray everyone is doing well these days! Thank god the weekend is here, right?! Oye. Its been on long week and an even longer day on this end. It took me an hour to get to my doctor's appointment this afternoon and I only work only 15 minutes away! Traffic was horrible, it was raining, and I've never been so frustrated in all my life because my appointment was at 4:15 and I just knew I would get there close to closing. But alas, I got there (completely stressed out and with a very full bladder) and they rushed me back to measure my weight and to my relief, get a urine sample (first time I've actually looked forward to that!). Then they took Scott and I into a room to hear the heartbeat and everything was sounding just fine. The Doctor said that the heartbeat sounded between 145 and 150 so that is normal. She did say my blood pressure had gone up but figured it was probably do to the stress of getting there and that it wasn't high enough for her to be alarmed. No one said anything about how much I weighed, or if I had gained or lost any weight, which is a relief to me. I think because my doctor is a personal friend, she doesn't want to make me upset and worried over it. And I know she would probably be very frank with me if she did feel like it was overboard, so I'm not going to worry about it. I got my paperwork to get tested for Downs and the others stuff and I'll do that sometime next week. I find out the sex of the baby on the 30th of this month. Can't wait. I had made the appointment about 3 weeks ago knowing that spots would fill up to see the Dr and I couldn't wait any more then I had to. After letting the doctor know I had already made my appointment, she said it was very smart because she would be going out of town and I was right to assume appointments would fill up. So, yay, no waiting for this girl! Anyway, that is the news. I'm changed out of my suit and into some jeans and sweatshirt and we are about to head over to my parents to pick up my other dog (who stays with them because they adopted her) and have some chicken parm. Just the thought of the parm made me gag earlier today but right now, I am starving for it. go figure! Hope all you lovely, wonderful women have a fantastic weekend. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones! I will be thinking of you all! Cheers and baby dust! Love, Janna
