| 13-1-2009 - GD Results | My mood while writing this blog:estatic!!!! |
NO GESTATIONAL DIABETES!!!! Whoopie!!!!! Let me just tell you how I've been so worried about this! My boss is a lawyer who is a single man in his late 30's who doesn't have any children and only dates once in a while. He is very work driven and up until I got pregnant, has been able to depend on me 24/7. I never had to go to doctor's appointments because I was never sick, I was never sick so I never had to take time off work. But now, he is having to adapt and isn't to happy about it. Especially since the appointments are now only 2 weeks apart instead of 4. Anyway, I knew that if I failed the 3 hour GD test and was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, he would go crazy since I would not only have to work around my regular doctor's appointments but now work around seeing a specialist. I would possibly get fired and since I work in a very small office (consisting of just me and him), I would have no legal protection if he was to just up and let me go for taking so much time off work for appointments. And the problem is, I can't make the time up on any other day or at any other time because court is open when we are and that's the times that he needs me in office. So, when the doctor's office called me and said my test results came back normal, I just cried. LITERALLY. I was so happy, I wanted to hug the sugarless oatmeal that I was eatting!!!
