27-2-2009 - 35 Week Dr's Apptment

My mood while writing this blog:

Hey there! I had to pick the icon that I did because today I took my Strep B test. Wow... glad that's over!!! It wasn't really a big deal though. I guess when anyone is down in that area, its going to be naturally uncomfortable these days but... its done and over with before you know it. As far as the rest of the appointment was concerned, I don't know if I gained weight because they didn't tell me and I certainly didn't ask. My blood pressure was basically the same as it has been at 138/88. The heartbeat was at 156 and was sounding very strong. I let my doctor know that I thought I had lost a little bit of my mucus plug and she checked my cervix... definitely not the highlight of the appointment! Its still closed... damn. lol. J/k. I'm fine with that... for now:) She said that she thinks I'm going to drop 10 lbs instantly in water weight alone. The swelling is still there but she doesn't seemed worried. So... so far, so good. On to week 36! Oh, the Dr. also said that if I was to go into labor now, she wouldn't try to stop it, which I didn't figure they would. I still think my baby will come between the 14th and 19th. We'll see!!! Next appointment will be on the 6th! I'll keep ya posted. Love and baby/labor dust to all!!!!

Glad it went well! I dread getting checked! It's nice to know what's going on . . . but I've known women that walk around dialted to a 3 or4 for weeks before they actually go into labor and my dr. said she's checked women in office at a 0 & they come in later that day/next day in heavy labor! These babies like to keep us on our toes from the start! Rest as much as you can!
