So, I finally have my answer as to why we can't get pregnant.
Today, I was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis, but it was cleaned out with a laser! I had some nausea when I first came out of surgery, but I had great nurses who took care of it immediately. I never vomitted! Yay!
My fertility doc has increased my chances to 20% with IUI and possibly injectables from 5% before the surgery with no treatment! BIG difference there :)
My friend's baby shower is next month; it would be so nice to be pregnant at her shower and surprise her with it. I will stay on birth control for another week, and my doctor wants to see me in two weeks to get the ball rolling.
She thinks the most likely cause of our infertility was the hormones being released by the adhesions in my abdomen, which she thinks was killing the sperm and the egg, and preventing them from uniting (Prostaglandins).
She did another dye test, which showed beautiful, open tubes :)
So, all is well in the Turner world tonight. I'm in a little pain, but it's not excruciating. The gas pain was pretty sucky right after. I still have a little bit of it, but it's not bad. The incision that hurts the worst is the one in my navel, and that's probably because it was stretched to no end with her moving the camera around! hah
Anyway, the doctor is supposed to give me a call tomorrow to further discuss our plans :) I'll let you ladies know what happens and what is said!
