29-6-2009 - Second Trimester

05.02.2009- I am now in the Second Trimester!

This pregnancy has been so wonderful except for the all day sickness. Hopefully it will fade soon :)

I scheduled my 3D Ultrasound today. I have an appointment on May 25th when I am 16 weeks. We celebrated making it to the 2nd trimester last night. We spent some quality time together going out to dinner and then renting movies. It felt so nice to spend time together and celebrate this little life growing inside of me.

05.11.2009- So I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Even though I am still pregnant we celebrated just the same! I got a manicure and pedicute. Afterwards we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Then we went and shopped for the baby alittle bit. My BF surprised me with a Coach diaper bag that I have been eyeing. He is the sweetest :)-

05.17.2009- Tonight at work I had a sudden gush. I went to the bathroom and there was blood everywhere. I went to the ER and got bloodwork and an ultrasound done. I was disagnosed with a Sub Chorionic Bleed. I was told it is usual in the first trimester but very uncommon in the second trimester. I will call my doctor in the morning to be seen.

05.18.2009- I am still bleeding and cramping today. It was hard to sleep last night because I kept bleeding and bleeding and I was worried about my little baby. I called my doctor when I woke up and asked if she wanted me to come in before Wednesday. She asked what had happened and she told me to come in. I just got back and she had me sign a medical release form so they can get my records from last night. She checked the heartbeat and it was nice and strong. She explained that the bleeding is from a clot that has formed and couldn't get reasorbed. She said to come back on Wednesday for my regular monthly appointment. She asked if I needed any time off of work. I told her that I have bills to pay and can't afford to take off. She put me on a few restrictions and said if it happens again...then I will be on bedrest

05.20.2009- So I had my doctor's appointment this morning at 9:15am. She checked the baby's heartbeat which is nice and strong. She finally received my medical report from the hospital the other night. She said everything was alright on the report but was concerned because they didn't do a transvaginal ultrasound to check my cervical length. So she did a pelvic exam instead and said I am closed and thick. She did mention that I have an extra lobe on my placenta. I have my 3D ultrasound Monday. I am so excited to see my little baby!

05.25.2009- It's A Girl!

We are so thrilled!! She is so perfect in every way. It is so unbelievable how much I love her already. She wasn't very active during the ultrasound. We got to see her little hands and feet. She is so beautiful already!

Her name is Juliana Grace Cruz :) :)

06.01.2009- Well I am 17 weeks now. It has definitely been a rollercoaster these past few weeks. I am trying my best to stay in bed and keep my baby alive and well in there. I am still bleeding. Some days it is bright red and some days it is brown. The cramping and pain has calmed down a bit. My clot was at 4cm two weeks ago. I have my anatomy ultrasound tomorrow to do all the measurements of my little muffin and check the placenta and everything. Hopefully the clot is smaller so I can breathe a sigh of relief and hopefully go back to work. This is definitely taking a toll on me. Tomorrow after my ultrasound we are going to try and make the registry. My baby shower date is set in stone and I really want to start on my registry while I have time.

06.02.2009- This morning I had my Level II Ultrasound. I was expecting the worse and I got the best!! Juliana was so beautiful on the screen. She was napping most of the ultrasound and had her little hands in her face. We got to see everything! I saw her little bones and fingers and toes. She is 100% a girl...no doubt about it!! I saw her stomach and her kidneys and her heart. Her little eyes, nose, lips, and jaw. She is just so amazing. I can tell already she is just going to be such a beauty. My eyes started to tear up during the whole process. The doctor said my cervix is nice, long, and thick. I finally chose a bedding set for her. I went to Pottery Barn Kids today and picked up a few pieces of it.

06.08.2009- So I am now 20 weeks and halfway done. I am so thankful to have made it this far. With all my scares and doubts in this pregnancy...I am truely thankful. This child is so special to me and she is so loved. She just lights up my life. I can not imagine my life without her.

06.17.2009- Well here I am laying in bed rubbing my stomach and I felt my baby girl. She kicked my hand twice. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. I am literally crying my eyes out right now. All this stuff that has gone on and being broke from not working is totally worth it for that one moment that I just experienced with her. I was crying earlier talking to her daddy because I am behind on so many bills and he said to look on the bright side of things and this is the bright side. I have a healthy baby girl. God I love her so much! Is it November yet?

06.20.2009- My doctor has released me to go back to work. She is not happy about it at all but she knows I need money to pay bills. She gave me a script for WIC because I haven't been getting paid. I have an appointment on Tuesday. My total weight gain so far is 3 pounds. I am pretty happy about that.

06.22.2009- Well I have to move out of my apartment. I can't afford the rent because of being on bedrest so I am being evicted. I am moving in with my parents which I planned to do anyways when my lease was up. I will have my own room and so will the baby so I am fine with that. On a positive note my daughter is healthy and that is all that matters :)

06.26.2009- I got a flyer today for a baby expo this Sunday. They are doing 4D ultrasounds there. I think I will check it out. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow!

07.04.2009- I am guessing this is a normal part of pregnancy. The last 2 weeks I have been so emotional! I cry for no reason all the time. I don't know how to deal with this. I mean sometimes I actually feel depressed but at other times I just cry out of no where. Just the past two months have been especially hard for me not being able to work up until last week, not being able to pay bills, or even put gas in my car. I am really trying to be happy but I am always feeling down. I plan to discuss how I am feeling with my doctor on Wednesday at my appointment.

07.09.2009- Yesterday I had an ultrasound to look at the baby's heart because of my family history. Everything looks good. She really did not want to cooperate. She layed on her belly the whole time and would not flip over. She had her toes and her hands in her mouth. We got a great shot of her feet. They look so big. I will try to post pictures tonight. I had a little spell during the ultrasound. About 3-5 minutes in I started having black out spells. The tech rolled me over on my left side and that just made it worse. I started sweating and shaking and kept seeing black. My BF got me a cold washcloth and was rubbing my hair and just talking to me to make sure I was okay. The tech got the doctor but by time she came back in I was feeling alittle bit better. She finished the rest of the ultrasound with me on my side. I asked about my blood test (quad screen) and everything came back negative. I feel so relieved! Oh and the baby weighs 1 pound 4 ounces. After my ultrasound I went to my OB for my appointment. My BP was fine. Total weight gain so far is 9 pounds. Yikes! Thats 6 pounds in a month! She was concerned about me getting sick at the ultrasound. She thinks it could either be nerve related from laying on my back, or from blood sugar. She does not think it is blood pressure issues. I go back in 4 weeks when I will have my glucose test. I'm not to excited about that but it means I am progressing so that is great.

07.11.2009- I am so happy! I have made it to 23 weeks!! Only 17 more to go if she decides to come at 40 weeks! I have so much to do in that time! I need to stop buying her clothes and get her other things. It is hard waiting until after the baby shower. I have 7 weeks to go before my baby shower. I am so excited!

07.13.2009- Here are the pics so far. I still have to add one more coat of white to the closet door and baseboards and then clean the carpet.

07.25.2009- This actually sounds believable :)

The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in the early evening. After a labor lasting approximately 12 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 9 pounds, 1 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have light green eyes and a lot of brown hair.
