28-9-2009 - 9 week pre-natal visit

First of all, my friend Evelyn had a beautiful baby boy yesterday so I went to the Barrie hospital to visit and hold him. Tonight I got a call from my brother, and his girlfriend is in labour in the hospital in Newmarket. So tomorrow night I will go and visit his new baby, I am soooo excited!! What a fun baby week!

Today I went for my first pre-natal visit, I am 9 weeks 1 day. They did some additional bloodwork, paperwork, referred me to an obstetrician (who I won't see until 28 weeks) . As well I chose to do the IPS screening for genetic defects, this will include bloodwork and an ultrasound at 11-13 weeks, so I am excited to see my little bean :) Everything seems great so far and I don't even feel pregnant yet! My next doctor's appt. is on Oct. 24th and I have to have a prenatal physical (blah!) and I will get to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time!!!!!! That's about it I guess, just waiting on the baby belly to grow now so I can know that it's real!
