14-5-2009 - 30 weeks 1cm dilated

My mood while writing this blog: nervous

Hello all, today I went in for my 30 week check up, I has having some lower backpain and some mild period like cramps. My BP was a little high and I still have trace protein in my urine. So I'm in there and I tell her that I think he dropped a bit and that I've bee having some pains, well she checks me and I'm starting to thin out and I'm 1cm dilated, last time I went I was think and closed shut. She was going to send me to L & D, just for monitoring, but Baby Ty was moving so much and had a nice strong heartbeat, so she said I have to pay close attention to my body and rest easy for the next couple days, she said it's okay that I'm dilated because I've had other children, but not okay because I have had 3 preterm babies, with the last ones labor only being 41 minutes. So I am sceduled to go every week from now until delivery, if I have any more pain or consistant contractions more than 4 an hour I have to go right to L & D. Later down the road when I'm closer to my due date, she told me that because of my fast labors I have to come in when my contractions are 10 minutes apart...10 minutes, that is pretty far apart, considering normally they have you come when they are 3-5 minutes apart. They took a swab (I'm not sure what it was) and told me they would call with the results. So then because of my high blood pressure and trace protein in my urine, I have to have some blood work done and do a 24 urine...ahhhh I am getting really nervous, they said that if by next week I have progressed anymore, I'm looking at bedrest and steroid shots, they don't have a medical reason as to why I have gone into early labor 3 out of the 4 times, so they want to be extra sure Baby Ty is healthy when he comes. I am going to be packing my hospital bag tonight, just in case. The cramps and back pain comes and goes, but nothing too consistant yet. I am going to be trying to relax at home tonight...after I pack my bags..heehee Just figured I'd give you ladies a heads up! Thanks for reading!!!! Luv & Hugs-Julia
