20-5-2009 - High BP & protein in urine

My mood while writing this blog: scared

So I went to the docs today to discuss my lab results, I had blood work and a 24 hr urine last week. Well I pretty much failed my 24 hr urine, my protein levels were high and today by Blood Pressure decided to jump up too, they were going to send me to labor & delivery, I started to cry, and they said that if I promise to stay on modified bed rest I can go home....I am allowed to work because I sit at a desk all day, but when I'm at work my feet have to be elevated and when I'm not working I am in bed. This is going to be a bit difficult with a 9 year old a 6 year old and a 2 year old...oh and did I mention my hubby had major surgery and after being in the hospital for 6 weeks, he's finally home, but he still needs home care. SO I;m not sure how I;m going to pull this off, but it's worth it for my little man. They said I am showing signs that I am headed towards becoming preeclamptic....and because I already had the urine test they have to keep monitoring my b.p. today it was 144/89. Lets hope by next week it's lower, I have to go to my nurse at work everyother day and have her check it. Right now I am disappointed in my body, why can't I have a normal healthy pregnancy???

He will be here before you know it, just try to rest and stay off your feet. He needs to be inside a little longer. Do you have any family that can help you??

Oh thats no fun at all. Im so sorry to hear that. Im sure that everything will be fine just take good care of yourself or I will kick your ass lol.

My BP is low and it makes me feel HORRIBLE today it was 94/60 it sucks so bad. I cannot imagine ho high BP feels??? Poor girl!! Good luck and kepe us posted.

They're prob. gonna induce but they'll hold off as long as possible. If they try giving you magnisium to prevent seizures (when your induced for high BP you're prone to them) tell them NO lol. It basically paralyzes you. for almost 4 days I had to have everyone do everything for me because I couldn't move. I didn't eat until 3 or 4 days after my baby was born, it sucked.
