27-5-2009 - 7 hours in L&D..luckily Baby TY has stayed put

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I was having some cramping and lower back pain Monday and Tuesday morning, it had me a litte worried, but not too worried, I knew I wasn't in labor. Well all morning Baby Ty was very slow moving or hardly moving at all...that had me worried, so I call my doc and tell them. They send me to Labor & Delivery for monitoring, Baby Ty was not interested in moving very much for them either, they were not pleased with it, so I was monitored for 7 long hours. They did blood tests and a urine, then I got an IV and had to have a cathater put in because they needed another urine before I had to go..so that was painful and very unpleasant. After about 5 hours, Baby Ty decided that he was going to give them a show, he started to move, which was great news, but I still had the terrible backache and cramps..after they got my urine results back I have a UTI, that's what was causing all the cramping and back pain. They found by monitoring me that I again have an irritable uterus, so I have contractions here and there, I am still dilated at 1 almost 2, but nothing has changed with my cervix since last week...YAY!! Baby Ty's heartbeat was great the whole time, it was just his movements that had us nervous. My hubby brought the kids when it was time for me to be discharged, they got to listen to the heartbeat, they were all so excited. They can't wait for their Baby brother to come!! SO they sent me home with a prescription, the pills make me sick to my stomach...yuck and I am still on modified bed rest, I have a doc's appt tomorrow, hopefully my BP will be fine and I won't have to have another stay in L&D for monitoring.
