31-3-2009 - 29 weeks first ob appointment okMy mood while writing this blog:
ok

Well I had my first ob appointment today. She is super nice and answered a lot of questions and told me to write down any questions that my fiance or I may have and she would be happy to answer them. She said that I am measuring a little big but that is due to me being a short 5'4. The baby's heart beat is good and strong and overall she is impressed with how I am looking and doing. I found out that I have sciatica and that is why I have been having pain so that and my legs become almost paralyzed at night. Work wants me to take early maternity but I found out that because of the sciatica and working in a daycare I am able to go on sick leave now and still get my full maternity. Ya for time off away from the stresses of work. I hope that you are all doing well with your bundles about to be born or that are already here.

who's your OB?? I had Dr Ruggles which i heard wonderful things about.. but she made me cry and i never went back and found myself a midwife.. ( the crying was due to me being overly hormonal that day mostly, but i didn't like the things she was telling me either)

I'm so jealous! I heard your medical is great! My insurance stinks, and is so expensive!
Have you not had an OB appointment til now?
I have sciatica too, and it is no fun!

It's great living in Canada isn't it! I'm doing the same thing, the doctor told me whenever I feel like I can't do my job anymore to go see her and she'll fill my papers out for sick leave and then I'll be able to have my full maternity leave too :) SOOO happy about this!
