15-7-2009 - Keeley's last appointment scaredMy mood while writing this blog:
scared

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Keeley has been going for weekly doctors appointments to check her weight gain. She's starting to gain now but still not doing great. She was 6lbs 2 oz at birth and at 5 1/2 weeks she is only up to 6lbs 12 oz. One good thing is I am getting a lot of use of her newborn and 0-3 month clothing which is still big on her. The doctor thinks that she may not be gaining because she may have a blockage. We go to a pediatrician tomorrow and they are going to test her urine and then probably issue an ultrasound. If she does a blockage she will need medication and if that doesn't work then she will need surgery. I was hoping that the weekly appointments would stop after I had as I was going three times a week prior to giving birth. It's so stressful and I just wish we knew why she wasn't gaining and that something other then surgery could be done.

Well hopefully the meds will do the trick and it's not something more serious.. That must be soo stressfull.. I can't even imagine.. your dealing with it better then i would be..
If you get lonely or anything.. Let me know.. I can always come get you bring you here or go to you.. It's a lot dealing with a new born and i'm sure even more difficult when you have to worry about her too..
