03-10-2009 - Induction in 22 DAYS!!!

Hello all. Its been a while since I last wrote a blog. Figured I would update on whats happened lately.

Ok so I had a check up at 32 weeks where they did a scan and saw the baby was already 5 1/2 lbs. I was measuring 36 1/2 weeks at 32 weeks. Wow huh? What a chunker. I was also checked at that visit and I was not dialating yet but he has dropped. Then at 34 weeks I was having severe breathing problems. To the point when I would lay down i couldnt breath at all. They put me in L&D for 5 days due to a clot in my right lung. And everytime the baby would kick, he would kick the little bit of air I did have in that lung, I couldnt breath at all. I had to get blood thinner shots in my belly twice a day. The shot didnt hurt but the medicine BURNED! I cried every time. The day before they sent me home, they did a CT scan of my lung to find that there was no more clot but pneumonia developed in that right lung where I couldnt expand it for days. Hurt so very badly. They gave me antibiotics (which burned through the IV) and sent me home on antibiotics. I am better now. So anyways I had another check up on 9/29/2009 where they wanted to measure the baby to see how big he was getting to see how early they needed to induce me. He, at 35 weeks, was measuring already, 6 lbs 11 oz. They said he is targeted to be a little over 9 lbs at induction date and they wanted to induce me a little early. If I went to term he would clearly be over 10 1/2 lbs. Ugh. SOOOOO, I am currently counting downt he days until induction on OCTOBER 25TH! Unless he decides to come earlier. Which is perfectly fine with me. :) I am just so ready to havet his pregnancy done and behind me and hold my little man in my arms. I added 34 and 35 week pix of my belly and also a pic of the ultrasound of his chubby face...
