| 09-12-2008 - week 12 | My mood while writing this blog:Hangin in there |
Today is the first day in week 12. I am so excited to be here although it has been a rough road! It's had it's highs and lows! On November 25th we went to our first appointment where we got to meet our Doctor, who we love and most importantly got to see a picture of our baby! It's so amazing that so much is going on inside, I wouldn't even know it if I wasn't feeling sick all day every day.
So this is week 12 and the "morning sickness" is supposed to be getting better. Last night I woke up for a mid night snack, half a pb & j sandwhich and half an apple and cranberry juice. 20 minutes later I was at the toilet throwing up for the very first time! I hope that is a one time thing I really hope that maybe I ate something bad or maybe just too much sugar and that it wasn't "morning sickness". There is nothing worse than throwing up! I hope it was a one time thing!
Thus far pregnancy has had it good times and bad times. I wake up most mornings feeling pretty good, a few hours later I start feeling like I have a hang over, or I'll have a headache, or I'll be light headed or just tired all day long. If I am really unlucky I'll have all four. I go to work and endure the misery. Around 6 I'll get to come home if I am lucky. By 6:30 hangover turns to neasea and I put myself to bed for 12 hours waking frequently for bathroom breaks, a few slices of my apple and a few sips of water. I get out of bed at 7 am only becuase the dogs require it! Then the cycle continues!
My eating habbits change daily depending on how I am feeling. The foods I can count on are green apples, bagels with cream cheese and avacado, french fries, toast and cereal. Forget about cooking dinner in the house. It is repulsive to me no matter what it is!
So that's been my first 12 weeks of pregnancy. I hope to look back at this and laugh. I often feel overwhelmed by all the symptoms and I can't wait to see the baby growing and know that all the misery is paying off!
